To the Beale family as March 10th 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of ownership of WLP, we moved here in March 1945.
Sales & Events News!
The next WLP concert is on Friday 6th March with the English Piano Trio, and features a words and music programme about Dmitri Shostakovich, the leading Russian composer who stayed in the USSR when all his fellow composers had fled.
Mother’s Day on Sunday 22nd March is a big event at both WLP and BH, with great lunch menus and delicious afternoon teas. In addition the WLP team have a great value overnight package too
Estates News!
Work has progressed on the WLP bedroom corridors, the next section outside bedrooms 4 and 5 is now complete and looking very smart indeed. (pictured)
Dozens of new trees have been planted out in the Beale Arboretum, including 16 more added to the International Conifer Conservation Programme collection, and 32 more from a wide variety of species and sources.
Storm Ciara caused widespread disruption for us at WLP including whole sections of fencing down, broken lights, and thousands of fallen branches, but as I write we have escaped the worst with no trees felled.
Work has finalised on a new scheme for the Buckland Suite at BH, which will be done during the summer holidays.
