We would just like you to know that our group of six thoroughly enjoyed our visit last Sunday to West Lodge for lunch which more than made up for our unfortunate experience on 7th May. The staff were superb and we shall be booking again in due course for next May. We stayed overnight as we live in Hampshire and would highly recommend the experience to our friends. Thank you again.
Thank you for looking after us so well on Saturday, we all had a lovely time and the hotel looked so pretty with the Christmas decorations. Please also pass my thanks on to the rest of the team.
Please can you pass on our praise and thanks to all of your staff for making my husbands birthday celebration so enjoyable! Our large family of 13 who attended on Saturday (19th October) all commented on how wonderful the service was. Nothing was too much trouble (including adding an extra two people to the table at the last minute!).
Our waiter, Sam Chamberlain, was particularly helpful and polite.
Please do pass on our thanks, we have always loved visiting the hotel and restaurant, and will continue to recommend it to all.
Kind regards, Mrs Angela Harris
The above guests Tony and Mary called yesterday and today to say:
Thank you very much for a most enjoyable Sunday Lunch!
We spent lunch time in your restaurant yesterday and had a wonderful time. Lovely surroundings and excellent food. We also wanted to say how professional Patrick was (who brought our food to us).
We shall certainly recommend to friends.
Dear Mr. Beale
On the recommendation of two Americans who stayed at your Hatfield facility last week, I brought an 83-year-old friend of mine to supper. We arrived before the start of the evening dining following a tiring walk around the grounds of Hatfield House. Alexander, the dining manager?, welcomed us and promptly sat us down, provided menus, ice water, and said that whatever we wanted he would produce from the kitchen.
His attention to detail and his consideration for my traveling companion went above and beyond what anyone showing up at the odd hour could expect to encounter. The word, gracious, comes to mind.
Thank you for employing him!
I forgot to add that your food was as delicious as my American friends had indicated (we were all attending a conference on GB Shaw at Ayot St. Lawrence).
So...my new advertising slogan for you is...
"Make mine a Beales!"
Dear Mr. Seward
I would just like to comment on yesterday evenings events. We were eating in the restaurant in the evening and it became very busy which was unforeseen, due to the weather. The staff were very apologetic and worked very hard to maintain standards.
We thought it was very rude that some customers were dissatisfied and rude. Peter was trying hard to deal with everything. We have been coming here for a long time and have had many functions here through our family. The staff here are exceptional, friendly and polite. We know their names from Matthew, Peter, Lisa (your function young lady) to Dawn in housekeeping.
Please pass on our thanks to them for making our stay here always a pleasure.
People are quick to write in with a complaint but I would like to do the opposite!
My daughter recently got engaged and last Sunday we invited her prospective in-laws and their close family to join our family for Sunday lunch at West Lodge.
I cannot express how impressed everyone was with the whole experience. The food, service and general ambiance was superb. I had requested, if possible, a round table which we had. However, it was my fault entirely that the table was laid for eight people when in fact I had miscounted and there were in fact nine of us! Without hesitation or any fuss an extra place was quickly set up and all was well.
I have just received a thank you note in the post from our guests and their words were “Thank you for an exceptional Sunday lunch.........”.
Please pass on our appreciation to everyone concerned.
We have, on a number of occasions, enjoyed lunch, dinner and afternoon tea at the restaurant but this occasion was very important to us and you didn’t let us down!
Angela and John Walsh
Below is Patrick the waiter who "made" our dining experience!!
Despite being rushed off his feet he never failed to excel in his work. Your staff are so well trained!
Patrick the waiter is exceptional he even rushed out with my shawl I left behind! I congratulate you on such a superb hotel with great history!!! Thank you.
Dear David McIntyre,
My husband and I had a wonderful experience in the Mary Beale Restaurant today - the food was delicious and well presented and the service was impeccable and very welcoming. We extend our appreciation and thanks to you and your colleagues and look forward to returning to Lodge Park Hotel which has over the years become a special place for us.Kind regards
Dear Beverley Doidge,
Thank you for your prompt response to our daughter's email in respect of lunch on Saturday 9th February. It was apparent that the staff were experiencing difficulty coping with the number of guests and consequently the service fell far short of the standard that we have come accustomed to over many years of dining in the Mary Beale Restaurant.
We returned to West Lodge Park Hotel with a friend for a bar lunch on Wednesday 13th February and were delighted with the friendly greeting and the polite and attentive service from the staff and the excellent quality and presentation of the food.
Obviously Saturdays experience was an aberration but unfortunately it occurred when our daughter and son-in-law wanted to treat us to a special occasion. We very much appreciate and thankfully accept your offer of a complimentary dinner or lunch for two. I will forward a copy of this email to David Seward and book the meal.Kind regards
Just a note to say that we had a fantastic evening at WLP with our friends last night. The restaurant and bar were full and the place was buzzing. The food was quite simply superb and the service from Matt, Pete and his team first class. A truly lovely evening.Bev

I just want to thank you for helping me out of a big hole on Friday, and replacing the lost voucher.
I also want to tell you that we were hugely impressed by the quality of the food and service – and we are not easily impressed! The food and presentation were just fabulous. We had the scallops and then the fillet steak, and a brilliant red wine from Eastern Australia. The Hazelnut praline soufflé was to die for, followed by really good coffee and home made chocolates - wow! Our waiter was a very charming Greek chap with a lot of style…
We will definitely be back, and will take advantage of some of the special events and offers coming up.Thanks again, Philippa Le Marquand - Palm PR
Sunday Lunch yesterday
Dear Ms Hendon
Thank you for making all the arrangements for my wife's celebratory lunch yesterday. Everything was just as we hoped it would be and all our family commented on the good food and in particular on the friendly and helpful staff. On our behalf can you please thank all those involved who helped make the occasion so enjoyable. Many thanks and kind regards Lyn Butterworth
Despite a bad start when our booking for lunch on Monday 8th October had not been noted, I write to say our lunch for my party of eight persons was excellent. The food was first class so our thanks to the chef and kitchen staff and likewise the waiters and bar staff. We couldn’t fault the whole occasion and the lunch was most enjoyable.Sincerely Mrs. McCarty
Dear Mr Beale - I was playing in the MCC golf day at Hadley Wood today, arrived early from Colchester, and called in on the off chance to see if a non resident could have breakfast.
Your hotel is an absolute delight and I took time to have a good look around the grounds and hotel.Your staff were most welcoming, and the quality of the breakfast and service was of the highest order - the whole experience was as good as I have witnessed anywhere in the UK.
In my working life I was Sales Director for Skandia,in the UK and internationally,so have witnessed many hotels in many parts of the world,so I complement you on your achievement - and long may it remain a family business.!Regards,
RE: Restaurant reservation
Dear Lauren – thank you for your help to make our lunch really special yesterday.
Matthew and his team looked after us superbly and they made it an extra special occasion for us.
Now we have “discovered” your hotel, I am sure we will be returning many times in the future.Kind regards
Dear Mr. Beale
All too often in the present day many contacts from the public can be of a negative nature - not to your organisation though, I’m sure.
I am writing directly to you to congratulate you on the service we received at West Lodge Park Hotel yesterday, Monday 21st May.
It was on the occasion of our daughter Fiona's 21st birthday. She is studying for exams and is currently very stressed, so we decided to come, as a small party of six to have a 'bar' lunch and wine to cheer her up.
On Sunday I called in to check the details for doing this. We were invited to book a table for six in the dining room and on Monday morning I brought along a cake, balloons and table sprinkles. The young ladies were excellent with their pleasant responses and nothing was too much trouble. Mr. Croxford make our lunch very special, even providing lovely bread before we ordered, put the wine into an iced cooler and was just wonderful! Although we did not have a full lunch from the menu, we were Fiona felt that she was made to feel special.
25 years ago, Andrew and I were married and had our reception at West Lodge. On 8th August 2012 we hope to return for lunch to celebrate this occasion, maybe even staying the night. So you see it West Lodge has a very special place in our life.
The personal service was just wonderful, and would appreciate the staff being praised for this.
Just to let you know we had a fantastic meal last night at West Lodge. Thank you so much for the complimentary wine, I did not expect that, but it was a very nice surprise and very generous of you - although I think I had one too many judging my how my head feels today, but thank you again.
The meal was lovely, every course being delicious. Service was very good with Kamel being very polite and charming.
The soufflé was to die for (I don't normally eat desserts), and my guests loved the variety of breads.
I hope you also had a nice evening, you looked very dapper in your denim's.
Have a nice weekend.Valerie
I felt that I had to write a short note to say how much Rosemary and I and our guests really enjoyed our lunch at West Lodge Park on Sunday.
Thank you also to you for arranging it all – the champagne went down very well with our desserts! Would you please pass on our grateful thanks to all your staff and the piano player.
We are now away for a few days in the New Forest but hope to see you on our return.Kind regards
As mentioned two female friends of mine, both with their own businesses dined at WLP on 7th March for dinner. They have both been to the hotel several times previous, but on this occassion they mentioned how superb the food was. They also got talking to another large group dining next to them and one of the ladies mentioned that she eats out frequently and was very impressed with the standard of food at WLP saying that it has been a long time since she tasted food so good.Valerie
Thank you so much for a wonderful tea yesterday - you always provide the very highest standard in every way - THANK YOU!
Thank you again Matthew and my very best wishes for Easter.Gillian
With this letter I may as well include a few comments regarding the dinner I enjoyed at West Lodge Park. For appetizer I had the “dessert” cheese assortment. The waiter noted that one cheese in particular he thought excellent – and he was quite correct! The one with Avalon in the name was terrific, it certainly crowned the selection. The main course of chicken curry I found one-dimensional – better move on. For dessert I ordered the banana soufflé, and this proved to be the finest example of such a dessert that I have ever eaten! Both the texture and banana flavor were superb – the accompanying butterscotch sauce was superfluous.John Edmonds

Re: The ‘Burns Night Dinner’ on Friday, January 27th 2012
I enjoyed the dinner immensely. It was perfect – the best meal I’ve ever had at West Lodge Park and the best meal I’ve had anywhere during the past few years. Congratulations!
The hot courses were hot, not lukewarm as is often the case in restaurants.
The dessert with the delicious shortbread was a delight. Also, the pieces of fudge served with the coffee – very tasty!
I often come to West Lodge Park and shall be there again on Friday March 23rd 2012 for the ‘concert diner’ evening with two friends.
With best wishes for your future as a chefFelicity Millward (Mrs)
Well, everyone had a tremendous time at Mary and Daniel's wedding and I had a lot of very favourable comments about the quality of the rooms and the grounds at WLP and the helpfulness of the staff, etc. So it was good to hear that they were all so comfortable in the hotel.
As for the brunch, it was a great success - a total of 49 in the end and everyone tucked in, once the younger ones had been dug out of bed. The food was excellent and again, as of course I expected, Matt and his staff were very attentive. He was in fact ready to start by 10.30 but it was about 10.45 before people drifted in. Afterwards we gathered outside on the patio to chat before leaving and also to throw rose petals over the married couple - see attached. We are seeing Tony King tomorrow evening so I'll tell him too how well it all went.
Thank you so much for all your help in sorting out all the details with Mary and then with my sister Christabel - it meant that everything went without a hitch. Hope you have had a good break - we fly back to Ceret next Monday where it should be a lot warmer than here!Kind regards
Dear Mr Beale,
My friend's and I would like to thank you very very much for the wow night we had at our boycott ball. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like princesses. Samuel our waiter was fantastic, and Paul the piano player granted all our requests. The food was outstanding and had empty plates after each course. Thank you for turning a major disappointment at another venue into a wonderful memory.Kindest regards

My guest and fellow foodie Elizabeth and I attended the Gourmet Dinner on Friday evening.
We want you to know how very much we enjoyed the evening. The meal was faultless, each dish perfectly cooked and presented. It would be impossible to choose one dish above another for special praise. (Though I want the recipe for the little zucchini dolmas, canapes). How did he get them so succulent?
The wines presented to accompany each dish were all very good indeed and Dougal effortlessly pointed us in the right direction with his easy manner. It was nice to have Anthony Browning around too.
We have always been impressed by the quality of your front of house staff, mostly young, always helpful, polite and forward thinking. I would say that you are very lucky but I know that good service only comes with good training. So Congratulations.
Our thanks to David, Matthew and Wayne and their teams, not forgetting our favourite pianist Paul for creating a happy & memorable evening.Yours sincerely

Thank you so much for the generous donation of a three course lunch at West Lodge Park for two people.
We had a wonderful day yesterday and raised £2430 for the North London Hospice
Please convey our thanks to Andrew BealeYours sincerely
To Whom It May Concern:
On Thursday evening, 6th January, my family and I had dinner at West Lodge Hotel to celebrate the birthday of my younger daughter.
The restaurant team conspired to make this a very pleasant experience, not just for Lucy but for us all. The food was impeccably prepared and graciously served. The dialogue was helpful and entertaining and the ambiance was delightful.
Please convey our thanks to them. We’ll be back.Stephen, Julia, Amy and Lucy Elston (Enfield)

Dear Mr Croxford
I would like to than you and your staff for the excellent meal that my family had in your restaurant on Sunday
The lunch had been planned as a celebration for my 80th birthday and I could not have wished for a more pleasant occasion.
We all appreciated the varied menu and everyone remarked how much they had enjoyed the meal they had chosen.
The service was efficient but unhurried and that also contributed to the pleasing atmosphere.Thank you again

I have endeavoured to write a review of the Mary Beale Restaurant but whatever I enter on Trip Advisor it will not interrogate. We lunched at the restaurant yesterday, with friends and wish to advise you that we had an excellent good value lunch, enjoyed a good bottle of wine, in most pleasant surroundings and attended by excellent and pleasant staff. We would not hesitate to visit again and to recommend to friends and colleagues.Kind regards,

Personal thank you cards will be in the post to you but I just wanted to write before they arrive to say thank you so much for providing such a wonderful evening for us all to enjoy for Gill’s 21st Birthday celebrations. We had a tremendous time, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Preparations with Sue Dixon went very smoothly and the idea of pre ordering meant that everything ran very smoothly. The food was delicious, the location of the table superb and Matthew and his team worked very well – they were so attentive to every detail and very co-operative regarding table decorations, cake cutting requests etc and even programmed the piano to play Happy Birthday at the right moment! Please pass on my thanks to Sue, Matthew and the team.
My sons and their respective wife and fiancé (very soon wife to be – 23rd October this year) were very impressed with the Hotel - as were the other guests - and expressed an interest in staying over some time when a special occasions arises.
Gill said that it had been a brilliant evening and I know it will hold many memories for her – she has already put the photos are already on facebook!
So thank you again Andrew for your generosity and hospitality – both very much appreciated.
Look forward to seeing you again soon.Kind regards
As part of our recent Ruby Wedding celebrations, we brought our children and grandchildren to lunch at West Lodge Park last Sarturday and stayed overnight and want to thank the staff who made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. The chef produced exactly the food requested for the children at lunch time, which meant the adults could relax and enjoy the usual excellent menu. I don't know who produced the jam sandwiches at tea time for 3-year old Alexander, but they were the best ever! We all appreciated the comfort of the rooms and the standard of service in the restaurant and bar, helpful but not fussy. We took full advantage of the grounds, the arboretum and the croquet lawn and came away relaxed after a splendid breakfast.
On 3rd August 1970, our wedding buffet lunch at West Lodge Park cost 22/6 a head. Prices have gone up just a bit, but you do still give value for money.
We look forward to our next visit!John and Marilyn Gerry
My wife and I would like to thank you for all your help and attention you have given us over this weekend. You made our first anniversary so special and memorable.
Thank you again for helping us with all our special food requirements. We know it was not easy but you made it seem so simple and for this we are most grateful.
We wish you the very best for the future.Benjamin and Rose Worcester

‘My wife and I and our three guests enjoyed a superb meal in your restaurant last Friday. We all thought the food was of high quality and its presentation was most attractive.
We have eaten at your hotel on many occasions over the years and I can honestly say that Friday’s lunch was the best meal we have had. Will you please pass our thanks to your chef and to his excellent team.’Deryl Tandy

Dear Mr Beale
Following a complaint which I made to you last year, details below for ease of reference, you kindly offered me a West Lodge Park afternoon tea for four free of charge. I finally took you up on your offer and had afternoon tea on Friday 23 July, which was arranged by David Seward.
I just thought that I would let you know that we all had a lovely afternoon tea and everything was as we had anticipated it would be on our previous visit.
All of your staff were welcoming, courteous and attentive from the moment we stepped into the hotel and the dining room was as you would expect it to be - tidy and clear of used crockery etc. The waitress checked several times to ensure that we had everything that we needed.
Thank you very much for your kind gesture which is very much appreciated and has restored our faith in West Lodge Park Hotel.Kind regards
Keane/ Beale family lunch Sunday 27th June 2010 West Lodge Park
Thank you..for the wonderful lunch at West Lodge on Sunday. It was an absolutely wonderful occasion and so good to catch up with everyone. Thank you also for arranging for us to stay at West Lodge. We loved our rooms and very much enjoyed dinner in the restaurant on Saturday night. The staff were all delightful and extremely helpful. All in all, it was a fantastic and very relaxing break and I particularly enjoyed your guided tour of the Arboretum!Sara

Afternoon tea at West Lodge Park 11th July 2010
Just to let you know I had an absolutely wonderful time at West Lodge Park yesterday. As you know it was for my Mum’s birthday and was a complete surprise for her.
My sister, Brother and I arrived a little early to make sure we had a table on the terrace and were greeted immediately by Adam, he knew exactly what we were there for and seated us straight away. The afternoon tea was absolutely gorgeous and we all had a great time. Everyone was so attentive.
My Mum and Dad would also like to pass on their thanks for making this day so special.
Please could you pass on a massive thank you to Matthew and Adam who made the day that much more special.
Also a big thank you to you DaveClare Markham

Dear Mr. Beale
I wanted to thank your restaurant team, in particular Sean (or Shaun?) who organised a treat at an afternoon tea gathering today.
My sister had a special birthday this week and planned this little gathering which sadly I was unable to attend. However I had an idea and picked up the telephone, Sean was very happy to see to it that a bottle of Champagne was presented to the table, he knew exactly what to do.
I've just had a call to tell me how lovely it was, and how attentive everybody had been.
Well done all, and many thanks indeed! With very kind regards

Just a note to say how much Ali Nafarieh and I enjoyed the concert dinner on Friday 14th May 2010.
The dinner was superb. Congratulations to the chef ! The music played by the two pianists was most enjoyable – great fun !
It was nice to see you again looking well and also nice to meet your parents again too.
I hope West Lodge Park gets lots of business this year. Maybe I’ll be at another concert dinner later on this year. With best wishes Felicity Millward

Dear Mr Turner
I just want to say thank you for the wonderful evening last Saturday. The food was fantastic and every course went back with empty plates (amazing considering that six of my party were teenagers). The staff were extremely friendly and the overall experience made Eve’s confirmation all the more special.
You made all my guests very happy and for that I thank you sincerely.Regards
Last Saturday evening I was enjoying a pleasant evening’s drink in your Cocktail bar, as indeed we often do, when I was approached by a young gentleman from reception who informed me that he had been advised by a coach driver that I had left my headlights on and was at risk of having a flat battery. I at once went to the car park, turned off my lights, thanked the coach driver and returned into the hotel and went to thank the gentleman who had informed me of the situation. He then said that if I had any problem starting the car when I and my friends left I was to come and see him and he would either assist in starting my car or arrange to get us back home.
I thought this was quite outstanding service and kindness and an excellent example of why your hotel and it’s staff are so highly regarded by local residents. West Lodge Park is exceptional for its style and ambience which it has maintained for many years and is the reason why my family has held all its functions there over so many years, my father having known Mr Edward Beale quite well. May I also say how delightfully we are looked after by Guido at all times.Yours sincerely
My wife, Diana, and I stayed overnight at your delightful hotel at the weekend, preparatory to attending a funeral, after which a part of about fifteen accompanied us back for sandwiches, cake and tea arranged via your restaurant. May of the guests were elderly and both they and we are very grateful for the kind patience and support shown by your staff.
We have stayed at West Lodge three times fairly recently - tempted by The Times' offer! - while visiting family in Barnet and have, each time, been greatly struck by the friendliness and charm of your staff. It is a testament to your style of management that, regardless of age, all those with whom we came into contact exhibited the same standards. You, and they of course, are to be congratulated in maintaining a standard that one experiences less and less elsewhere.
West Lodge has been known to us since we were both young (now a long time ago!) starting with 18th birthday party celebrations et al and, although we mourn the loss of the lounge, whilst recognising the commercial imperative, it is a joy to know that it remains a haven of charm and tranquillity. Especially remarkable given the enormous changes that have taken place in the surrounding area. Please convey our appreciation to your staff.H Gerald Keen - Poole, Dorset
Meal on 24 June 2009
We wish to record our thanks to restaurant staff/manager for the lovely meal we enjoyed yesterday evening for a friend's 50th birthday celebration.
The venue as always was fantastic. The food was lovely and very well presented but above all we were so impressed by the professional, friendly and extremely helpful service by those serving food and also the manager in ensuring everything went well. In days when customer and service don't seem to be words that go together it is extremely heartening to be on the receiving end of such excellent customer service that went above and beyond expectations to ensure that the birthday meal went well. It was a great evening and we'll definitely be back!
Thank you very much indeed and I do hope our written thanks and comments can be passed on to those concerned.Best wishes
We are back home after a wonderful fortnight's journey in Britain!
We managed to drive a total of 1100 miles from Heathrow to Herefordshire and then all the way to the Lake District, to Derbyshire and then back to London and to the highlight of our trip, your West Lodge Park!
Your hotel exceeded all our expectations - David McIntyre had chosen us the spacious executive room with a beautiful view and all the finest facilities including that huge television screen and the comfortable chairs!
The dinner at your Mary Beale Restaurant was a really memorable experience.
My personal wishes about the gluten-free choice were complied with no fuss at all, and the food was just heavenly!
The park surrounding West Lodge Park is amazing - to have such botanical rarities normally provided only by universities or large communities and cities is a unique treasure! And in spite of being within the Greater London area and in reach of the London Underground your hotel was so quiet at night that we all had a good night's sleep!
Thank you very much for allowing us to have such a wonderful experience and our friend Allan Hopf is joining us thanking on his behalf!
I enclose a photo taken by of your polite staff during our dinner:
Raija, Risto and Allan enjoying the superb meal!
We have already told many of our friends about your fine hotel and its restaurant highly recommending your services! With best wishes,
Dave (General Manager)
Re: Mr Howard:
I had a message from reception to call Mr Howard this afternoon regarding his experience at the hotel. I spoke with Mr Howard who proceeded to tell me how wonderful his stay was over the weekend, that Ryan, Matthew and Paige in this restaurant had been fantastic and Adam was great at check in. He said he only lives around the corner and he and his friends will defiantly be coming back as the food, service and surroundings were so great.
I will pass the message on to the relevant staff.
I was fortunate enough to be treated to your Mothers Day Lunch by my daughter and son in law.
I am writing to express my appreciation for the whole event. The lunch was perfect (for all 7 of us). Your staff were kind and helpful and the general ambience could not be bettered.
Thank you all for making our day so special and enjoyable.
I am now a grandmother myself and I used to bring my Mother to your hotel for Afternoon Tea in the 1960's, it being one of the few elegant places that served Afternoon Tea.With Thanks
Mr. Gilby called. He and his wife are regular visitors to West Lodge Park often coming for Afternoon Tea and twice a month on a Saturday evening for drinks in the bar. He just wanted to speak to you to congratulate you on the new Mary Beale Restaurant and Bar Terrace. They think it looks fantastic. He also said how very nice all of the staff are here and that is a great reflection on yourself.Bev
I would just like to commend your staff at Hatfield having enjoyed a Tea for my Wife's Birthday on Sat. 28th March.
When organising this a few weeks ago, I was impressed with Reception, then with Linda Purton who looked after me whilst Amy was with another client, and who I knew from my firm's dealings at the old BriggensHotel, and particularly with Amy Tregidgo.
My Wife thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, as did all the other Guests, and the setting and food etc. were really first class.
We also lunched at West Lodge on Fri. 27th, and the new restaurant is certainly first class, as was the food. Please pass on my thanks to all who made Sat. a really happy occasion.Yours sincerely,
Thank you very much for all your help and for making everything so special.
The food was really scrummy , the table was brilliantly placed and the service excellent. Also thank you for your kindness with regards to my colleague who ate kosher food. And of course, the little "extra" on the fire alarm made it. I will be back in Feb with my Mum for her birthday.
I have just had to email to say that Malcolm, I and two friends came for dinner on Saturday Night. The meal was absolutely wonderful, as was the service and atmosphere. Our friends, who eat out a lot said (and we agreed) that it was the best meal they have ever had, and they can't wait to come back. Thanks again
Last night Clark and I ate from the Al la Carte menu. We can honestly say it was without doubt the nicest meal we have had. Everything was cooked to perfection and Matthew and his team were superb. We were extremely well looked after and it was truly a lovely evening – a perfect end to a rather hectic weekend of celebrationsBev
Dear Sue and everyone at West Lodge
I would like to extend my thanks for a fantastic evening last Monday. The children loved being served their menu design and we all had a lovely time.
The food was fantastic and the staff were very professional and attentive.
Thank you all for your help in organising the trip and evening meal. The children have gained a lot and the link with the school is much appreciated. Thanks again and have a lovely summerMelissa Barett
Please pass out thanks to Sharon Blackgrove, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening, the food was delicious as were the wines. We will certainly be returning to West Lodge Park for any further functions – we have four daughters all in their twenties so there might be a wedding or two coming up!!Kind Regards and Many Thanks
May I take this opportunity to thank the hotel and all the staff for the wonderful way that they did put themselves out to make the occasion a wonderful one – which it was – and except for a small glitch everything was perfect.Yours truly
Dear Mr Sims,
Re: Saturday May 3rd 2008 - Party of 10
I would like to place on record my thanks for the evening dinner for my fathers 90th birthday in your restaurant last Saturday evening. My compliments go to your chefs for the range of excellently prepared meals. My compliments also to the serving staff who were most attentive and very professional. Also to your resident pianist who provided the extremely pleasant and appropriate background music.
I was very impressed with all aspects of your restaurant and its organisation.
My expectations for the evening were well exceeded.
It is nice to know that such high standards are being maintained at the West Lodge Park. I certainly look forward to our next visit.Yours sincerely
