In 2011 the Rhodes Piano Trio won 2nd Prize at the Melbourne International Competition. Selected by YCAT in 2010 the Trio went on to give recitals at Purcell Room, Bridgewater Hall, the Chester, Lake District Summer Music, Edinburgh Fringe and Mecklenburg Vorpommern Festivals.
Engagements this season include debut recitals at Wigmore Hall, Barbican, the Aldeburgh, Aix-en-Provence, Verbier and Schwetzinger Festivals. The Trio are Chamber Music Fellows at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
Formed in 2003 at the Royal Northern College of Music under the guidance of the late Dr. Christopher Rowland and Alasdair Tait, the Trio won all the RNCM’s major chamber music prizes, toured Scotland as Tunnell Trust winners and won the 2008 ROSL Elias Fawcett Award.
