Dear Mr Seward,

I organised a party of 16 guests to attend your gala dinner on New Year’s Eve, and I am emailing you to say how much we enjoyed the event. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great and the staff pleasant and helpful. Organising this for everyone was not an easy task and before the event I had to contact the hotel for various reasons, I would just like to mention to you one member of your staff David McIntyre all my dealings were with him, he was exceptional so professional and helpful and I very much appreciated the trouble that he went to make the evening so successful. Please convey my thanks to him again and indeed to all your staff who made the evening and our stay so pleasant

Hello Louise,

We attended the Gala night on Saturday night as part of the Joanne Simons party, and would like to pass on our thanks to all the staff on the night who did a superb job of making the occasion really lovely.

The weather was so awful that at one point in the day we didn't think that we would be able to make it as the snow was causing such problems on the road - but we eventually managed to find a way to get there and was really impressed by the warm welcome we all received and the great service, provided by people who must have had similiar problems to us in getting to the hotel. Please pass on our sincere thanks to everyone involved for making it to work that night and for the making our evening such a great one. Please also pass on our best wishes to the team for a merry Christmas.

We will all definitely see you again next Christmas!

Dear Sue

Re Christ Church Cameo Group Lunch Party today (6th Dec 2010)

What a splendid occasion we had with you today. You gave us all such devoted attention, and your young man Adam was such a huge help to us in every way. He really couldn’t do enough for us. I expect you heard that we could not get the wheelchair through the door into the dining room, and he organised getting our lady into a dining chair, and then several folks manhandled her through the door. She was a bit upset naturally, but is a very plucky lady and seems to cope with so many difficulties. Anyway, please thank Adam again for all that.

Everyone was so helpful, and it is always a delight to have people like that. Each member of the group really enjoyed themselves today and we are so grateful to West Lodge for making this possible for us. The food was delicious and so beautifully presented, and I was so touched that you had even put crackers on the table for us all as well.

The whole hotel, or what we saw of it, looked lovely, and as we looked out through the windows, it was lovely to see the frosted trees, but not the snow (!). It is lovely to see West Lodge at all the different seasons.

Thank you again Sue, and I do hope we shall be able to come again one day.

FAO: Mr David Seward

We wanted to thank you and you staff for your hospitality over the New Year celebrations. Everyone involved worked very hard to make it a successful occasion and in particular Katie Field who helped so much with our reservation.

We held our wedding reception 23 years ago at West Lodge Park and since then it has always been a special place for us and this New Year's celebration was the best yet.

Thanks once again - we look forward to the next one. Any chance of holding a summer black tie ball?

Hi Dave,

I felt that after coming to West Lodge Park on Saturday for one of your party nights I needed to contact you. We all had a fantastic time and were so impressed once again by the hotel and your staff. The meal couldn't be faulted and it is so unusual for 12 people to all clear their plates every course!!

There was a great atmosphere in the room and it would have been hard not to enjoy yourself. The waiting staff were fantastic but for our group one member of staff really shone through and that was Adam he managed to take care of everyone's needs and with a smile on his face the whole time - Thank you Adam.

Our room was in Chestnut Lodge, which was absolutely amazing and totally unexpected! I really felt that on Sunday as we left after a walk around the arboretum totally relaxed and revived.
