Hi Grant

Thank you so much for sending me a photo of Mum's new tree; it looks great. It was such a shame that so many trees died owing to the bad weather experienced in the UK.

On behalf of my husband, brother and myself we wish to express our appreciation for the excellent work you and your team have done in tending to the grounds at West Lodge Park. As you know when we are in the UK we always make a point of visiting West Lodge Park and if time allows we love to walk in the grounds. There is no mistaking your love for your work.

Dear Matthew

People are quick to write in with a complaint but I would like to do the opposite!

My daughter recently got engaged and last Sunday we invited her prospective in-laws and their close family to join our family for Sunday lunch at West Lodge.

I cannot express how impressed everyone was with the whole experience. The food, service and general ambiance was superb. I had requested, if possible, a round table which we had. However, it was my fault entirely that the table was laid for eight people when in fact I had miscounted and there were in fact nine of us! Without hesitation or any fuss an extra place was quickly set up and all was well.

I have just received a thank you note in the post from our guests and their words were “Thank you for an exceptional Sunday lunch.........”.

Please pass on our appreciation to everyone concerned.

We have, on a number of occasions, enjoyed lunch, dinner and afternoon tea at the restaurant but this occasion was very important to us and you didn’t let us down!

I would like to congratulate you and your staff, I have stayed at West lodge hotel with my girlfriend this weekend and I have to say that we were delighted with the services provided ( room 84), the quality of the food and the general atmosphere of the place.

Diamond Wedding

Hello Sharon

It occurs to me that I have not written to express to you the thanks of Meg and myself for all your help in arranging our Diamond Wedding celebrations.

To say that it was a great success would be an understatement. It was a really outstanding evening. The room itself was perfect for our numbers, the meal was first class, the service was swift and efficient, and the speeches were just the right level of humour and emotion (we can take the credit for that!).

When you host an event like this, you tend to notice elements that are not quite right. On this occasion, not only were no such elements, but a considerable number of our guests expressed many complimentary remarks.

They thought the whole event was outstanding, and one or two indicated that they would very likely be returning with their own parties.

Whilst the staff concerned can take much credit for the outcome, I feel I must put on record the special thanks due to you. From the very start it was clear that the organisational side of things was in safe hands.

I found that dealing with you on a personal level was both friendly and reassuring. It seemed likely that all would be well on the night, and it certainly was.

Meg joins with me in thanking you for all your efforts.

Dear Mr Beale,

I know you are aware of the excellent service we received from your team last weekend during our stay at West Lodge Park through our feedback on Trip Advisor and Travelzoo. This was a particularly special weekend as my parents grew up in New Barnet/Potters Bar before moving to Edinburgh and living there for 45 years. Your hotel was perfectly placed for our ’trip down memory lane’ with my mother and for a visit to John Lewis at Welwyn!

When we were checking out and thanking your staff at the reception desk, they mentioned that there may be another offer for your hotel about to be released. I would be very grateful if you would be able to let me know where/when this will appear so we don’t miss it.

Also I would be very grateful if you could send me details of your Christmas programme when it is available.

On behalf of Agnes and Hilary Rodrigues, I write this letter to say a huge thank you for making their 50th Wedding Anniversary such a memorable occasion on Saturday 23rd February.

Our day at West Lodge went extremely smoothly and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day which was a huge relief to Agnes and myself. I would like to thank you for your flexible approach given Hilary’s dementia, your friendly manner and your support in making the day very special indeed.

Your support on the planning of the event was great and it was lovely not to feel pressured into making decisions there and then, your guidance and the options you provided made it a lot less stressful.

Please may you also pass on our thanks to William and the team for their excellent friendly service on the day too. A special thank you to William who provided a friendly and approachable service on the day. He too was very accommodating, dealt with requests and changes on the day with ease. He was also very kind in getting a message to me, to let us know we had left flowers behind, which I came to collect on the Monday.

I cannot thank you and your team enough really, for the pleasure the event gave to Agnes and Hilary. So, please pass on our sincere thanks and gratitude to yourself Lisa and the team for making our day as a family a very special one indeed.

I would like to express my appreciation for the efficient way my Birthday Party was handled on Saturday afternoon – 16th February. I thought the tables looked lovely and the arrangements were delightful in very interesting rooms.
