My work is concerned with the relationships between surface, colour, line and movement. I work in a systematic, process based way and the element of performance is important, the act of laboriously repeating an action is not a task usually or lightly undertaken, the technique is repetitive and tedious but also meditative and satisfying. The actual process is as important as the final painting, where paint becomes the subject itself.
